McWeb Software - WYSIWYG HTML Web page editor, Javascript effects and DHTML scripts De boot wordt gemaakt van een sandwich constructie, dwz dat de huid van de boot bestaat uit drie lagen. De middelste laag is 13 mm schuim met een gesloten celstructuur en de buitenste twee lagen bestaan uit glasweefseldoek doordrenkt met epoxy.

Het schuim wordt in platen van 1,22 m x 2,44m aangeleverd. Deze platen zagen we in repen van ongeveer 40cm breed. Onder dwang van verhitting en spierkracht buigen we de platen in de mal en na afkoeling blijven ze ongeveer in deze vorm liggen. Met behulp van schroeven die door de latten aan de achterkant in het schuim gedraaid worden blijft het schuim netjes op zijn plaats.

The boat will be made of a sandwich construction which means that the boatskin has three layers. The inner layer is a foam with a closed cell structure and the outer layers are made of fabric drained with epoxy.

The foam is manufactured in plates of 1.22m x 2.44m. We cut these plates in pieces of 40cm. With heating and muscular strength we bend the pieces in the mould and after cooling they stay in that shape more or less. With screws through the battens into the foam the pieces stay in the mould.
